World Mental Health Day

10th Oct 2024

Today is World Mental Health Day and we celebrated this as a school. A whole variety of activities were completed in the classrooms to remind and inspire our pupils to look after their own thoughts and feelings. In P1 and P2 they celebrated World Mental Health Day by talking about their feelings. They explored different feelings by singing their feelings song, discussing their PATHS friends (Twiggle, Daphne, Duke and Henrietta) and engaging in an exciting science activity! Their toilet roll holders came alive and showed how they felt using different colours! They finished off by engaging in a daily Neuronimo reset which helped create positive behavioural habits in our mental and physical health. Primary 3 were discussing a story called ‘We All Have Mental Health’ and Neuronimo breath exercises. Primary 4/5 were having fun courtesy of Danny Go on YouTube and Franz from iZak9. Primary 6/7 had a blast through iZak9, Danny Go and Kahoot! to keep themselves laughing out loud, though some P7 do see themselves as being too cool to dance it would seem! ?
