The Ulster American Folk Park
27th Apr 2022
Today our Primary 5-7 pupils visited the Ulster American Folk Park in Omagh. Glorious weather meant the experience was a really pleasant one. We were expertly guided around the old and new worlds, reinforcing our learning of The Great Famine of Ireland, by Pauline and Margaret. They explained the types of houses, the way of life and how emigration seemed like the only hope for many.
The children really enjoyed their day and the staff were also really impressed with how well-behaved our pupils were. Yet again, they were real ambassadors for our school.
