Sustrans Visit
Donna from Sustrans was visiting our school today to run two cycling workshops. Some Primary 1 and 2 children took part in ‘Ditch the stabilisers’. There was great excitement and determination from all the children who took part. This was a fantastic workshop building up the children’s confidence and skill for riding a bike. Thank you to all the parents and carers who came along to support the children you should all be very proud of how well they have done. It was a successful workshop and all the children can now ride their bikes without stabilisers.
Some Primary 7 children took part in ‘Pedal Ready’, they have learned lots about road safety and cycling skills. The children have developed a wide range of skills to encourage them to cycle more often and to keep themselves safe when riding a bike. The children took part in a slow bike race at the end of the workshop to practice all the skills they had learned.
Well done to all the boys and girls who took part today.
