St. Peter's welcome Tyrone Stars
It was a day of great delight and pride that St. Peter's welcomed the Sam Maguire and Anglo Celt cup to the school. It was a sea of red and white and the children got to see their Heroes Cathal Mc Shane and Ronan Mc Namee in the flesh.
It's not everyday that all hands are up in St. Peter’s Primary School Plumbridge but when Cathal Mc Shane and Ronan Mc Namee came to the school all the children cheered and clapped in glee. The boys brought the Anglo - Celt Cup and the coveted Sam Maguire Cup. The children sat in the hall eagerly awaiting their arrival when the P.E. store and the boys walked out to a rapturous cheer and singing of Come on Tyrone. They were also treated to music by Mia, Chloe and Darragh. The boys gave motivational talks to the children on the importance of setting targets and always having hope along with a lot of dedication and hard work. Cuthbert Donnelly the faithful stalwart to the Tyrone Team also reminded the children of the importance of having a balanced diet. I hope that one day some of the children present in the Hall will go on to play for Tyrone. Ronan shared that he remembered when he was at primary school and the Sam Maguire cup was brought into his school. This gave him the inspiration to set a target to challenge him to play for Tyrone in the future. Judging by the awe and respectful atmosphere present in the hall - the future for Tyrone looks BRIGHT.
