Retirement - Fond Farewell
24/5/22
Dear Parents,
After 33 years of dedicated service to the St. Peter’s Primary School community, Ms Gallagher, our Foundation Stage teacher, is setting her sights on a well-deserved retirement and spending more time with her family.
Ms Gallagher began her career in 1987 after graduating from university and took up teaching around the Strabane area. She taught many different age groups within the school and has been the welcoming face for Primary one pupils for the last years.
In September 1989 Ms Gallagher joined the teaching staff of St. Peter’s Primary School and has remained since, where she is finishing her career in June. The entire school community has benefitted from Ms Gallagher’s passion for both learning and teaching and her friendly smile and welcome at the door.
The smooth functioning of the school day for all in their younger years and beyond is evidence that Ms Gallagher made it a priority to give generously of her time and experience.
We would like to invite everyone in the community to join us in wishing a happy and healthy retirement to Ms Gallagher.
To mark the occasion, I would like to ask every family to send in a donation in an envelope marked clearly to the school office on or before Friday 10th June.
Also on our school website there is a link to forms which allows you to express/ share memories of little stories or events that I know Ms Gallagher would love to read. All these little stories will be printed off and given to Ms Gallagher. We invite you to follow this link; Retirement
All of us here will miss Catherine, and will never forget her contributions to our school.
Please join us in wishing all of God’s blessings upon her.
Yours Sincerely
S.Falls
