Letter to Pupils
27th March
Hello Boys snd Girls,
We hope you are all keeping well and helping out at home. It’s been a very strange week not seeing you all at St. Peter’s.
In recent weeks we had been busy with lots of different activities. We had just finished celebrating Grandparents Day and were preparing for Easter when suddenly everything stopped due to the COVID - 19.
At the moment we are having a very different type of school - school at home. This is a new experience for everyone teachers included!
We are all following our school motto ‘growing and learning together in God ‘s love’.
Everyone was given class work-packs to complete in their own time with work in P4-7 allocated mainly through the app see saw. Most of you boys and girls know how to use this app and can show your helpers.
Also everyone can do their Accelerated Reading quizzes (P3-7) and Abacus Maths (P2-7) by logging into the school website.
We have given you loads of websites so you will be kept busy. However it is important to remember internet safety (SMART) and acceptable use of the internet. These sites should be supervised by your helper.
We recognise that a few boys and girls do not have internet access. That is ok, just keep doing your work packs and read books.
If your parent is busy some days you can always catch up again, don’t worry as many parents have to work from home!
Keep working and everyone can only do their best.
I hope you like your new teachers and are being kind and respectful to your mum, dad or carer. Tell your new teacher that you need time to play, draw and follow your own hobbies!
Remember to use 🢠‘turtle’ or the control signals if needed.
Be responsible- wash your hands and follow advice given.
We look forward to your smiles and even your noise when we return again. 😊
Meanwhile continue to pray that everyone will keep safe. ðŸ™ðŸ»
God bless
Sheila and Staff
