So proud of our School choir who were runners up in the Inter School Choir competition. They won the J. Bimson Shield.
The children performed ‘Over the Rainbow’ and ‘Glenelly My Home’. They sang with great passion and emotion and it was a great occasion for the school. The singing left the organiser wishing that she was from Glenelly.
Caitlin our soloist hit all the high notes and Grace, Blathnaid, Aoibhe, Roise, Caitlin and Rosie, were fantastic on their instruments alongside the children on Tin Whistle. It left many people in the audience commenting on their skill at such a young age.
A big thank you to Mrs Bradley who prepared the children and accompanied them on piano and to Miss McCullagh who conducted the choir. We also thank Mrs Sweeney our Music Teacher.
A proud day for St. Peter’s who retained the runner up Shield in Inter Schools Choir of the Year.
