Music
In Saint Peter’s we are very lucky to receive a lot of musical tuition and expertise; both in school and from external support. Mrs. Bradley is a pianist and regularly accompanies the pupils for all manners of events, assemblies and sacraments.
On Friday morning the whole school receives vocal lessons from Nuala Sweeney. They just love to see her arriving, guitar in hand. Mrs Sweeney is an exceptionally talented musician and the pupils from P3-7 receive tuition in tin whistle, as well as those who can play banjo, fiddle, button and piano key accordions receiving tuition in these. Friday is a guaranteed toe-tapping afternoon.
The EA also have a peripatetic music teacher - Miss McGeough who comes to school on a Tuesday morning for those children in P4-7 to receive lessons on stringed instruments. The pupils really do excel with this support and it also helps them to play for all different school functions.
